This is one of my favorite songs, and I’ve sung it everywhere I’ve lived. I learned it for my Seminary Graduation and have loved it ever since.
One unforgettable time was when I was asked to sing it for some of the victims of the Teton Dam disaster. The breaking of the dam had destroyed the Sugar City chapel and many of the homes in that area. Their Sunday meetings were temporarily being held on campus at Ricks College, and my boss was the bishop of their ward. He asked me to sing it for their sacrament meeting. I will never forget the sweet spirit of that meeting.
